Sunday services update

20th March 2020

Dear Friends

Greetings to you all!

This letter is to let you know what plans are in place so far for our church fellowship during the corona crisis.

By Sunday, you will receive an ‘order of service’ which will include hymns, prayers, questions and a link to a sermon. If you can arrange it, please take part in a ‘virtual service’ in your living room at 10.30am and 6.30pm on Sunday!

Please let us know how it works for you – there are various things we can experiment with, but we want to keep it simple. We are also considering other means of communication, for example using conference call software to have home groups (does that mean anything to anyone? I have been assured it is quite straight forward!)

Additionally, we have set up a WhatsApp group for all members and friends of the church. This is designed to keep us in touch with one another, in order to share needs and prayer requests.

If you would like to receive links to the service and other church communications and you are not on the mailing list, do please get in touch via the website.

Until our next communication, let me close with the famous words of Oliver Cromwell: ‘Trust God, and wash your hands regularly’ (or something along those lines!) Better still…

‘We have a strong city; God makes salvation its walls and ramparts.

Open the gates that the righteous nation may enter, the nation that keeps faith.

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You.

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.’

Isaiah 26:1-4

Grace and peace!
